A podcast can be great for building trust with your customers, they are easier to engage with than written material as people can have them on while going about their day and if you start ranking well they can bring in a new audience of potential customers. By putting out a regular podcast you’re making yourself a part of your own marketing and putting a face, or at least a voice, to your business, and people like to engage with real people.
To take maximum advantage of these points, your listeners have to be able to find your episodes and listen to them in a convenient player. Once you’ve won a subscriber, roughly 80% of them listen to all or most of every episode weekly.
Simple Podcast press automates most of the tasks associated with getting your podcast up in an accessible, consistent fashion. It’s compatible with all podcast hosts and uses its own player, which looks good and works well on desktop and mobile devices.
Whether your WordPress site exists solely to host your podcast or it’s just part of your on-site marketing, Simple Podcast Press makes your life easier. You can upload all existing episodes, insert your iTunes URL and the plugin will generate a page for each episode. All future episodes will upload automatically, leaving you time to write great show notes, transcripts and timestamp bookmarks, which can then be listed and clickable, letting your listeners jump to the topics that they are interested in.
A single site licence costs $67/year, while the highest tier, for 10 sites costs $147. The features remain the same across all the licences.

How to Use Simple Podcast Press
The first thing you need to once the plugin is installed and activated is to insert your iTunes URL or RSS feed link. This will give the plugin access to existing episodes and iTunes reviews and can take a few minutes, depending on how many episodes it needs to work through.
Next, decide whether you want to import all episodes or only those after a certain date, whether you want them to publish automatically or appear as Drafts before going live, any image for the feed and assigning its own Category if need be. You can import your episodes and customise the player and CTA buttons with your branding colours and set up your email collection box. After this, your episodes will be live (or in Drafts) and you can add show notes, book marks and transcripts.
Simple Podcast Press is an easy way to automate many of the tasks associated with keeping your podcast presence up to date. It won’t do everything for you but it will update your playlists, integrate with your existing email marketing client and allow you to add value to your podcasts with accessibility options like transcripts and simple timestamps.
